In 1894 a publisher named George Allen brought out a beautiful new edition. The book was Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice with a preface by George Saintsbury. Hugh Thomson drew the pictures and dedicated them to J. Comyns Carr. The printer was Chiswick Press in London. Saintsbury said this book was the most perfect of all Austen's novels. He called
