The Hubble telescope took a picture of a giant ball of stars called Messier 3. This cluster holds more than 500,000 stars packed tightly together. It is very old, one of the ancient groups that circle our galaxy. Nasa shared the image to mark the 250th birthday of the United States. By studying clusters like this, scientists read the long history of the Milky Way. The light you see left those stars a very long time ago.
