A Maya city so hidden its name means there is no road

A lost Maya city was so hidden its name means 'there is no road.' Scientists found it by laser scanning from a plane over Mexico's Calakmul reserve. The team led by Ivan Sprajc hacked through jungle to reach it. The city covers 40 acres with plazas, palaces, and a 40-foot temple. It had no looters, which is rare. Most of it was built between 600 and 900 A.D. The oldest stone dates to 849 A.D. It is the first intact city found in three years of searching.
