Testing a moon lander in fake space

Before a spacecraft flies, it must survive a fake version of space on the ground. Blue Origin put its cargo moon lander, also called Endurance, through such a test. It sat inside a huge vacuum chamber that copies the airless, harsh conditions near the moon. The uncrewed lander is built to carry supplies, not people, to the surface. Passing the test shows the craft can take what space will throw at it. It is part of the plan to send cargo ahead of astronauts.
